New Report Sheds Light on Market for Supercapacitors

Reportlinker.com has announced the addition of a new report titled ‘Electrochemical Double Layer Capacitors: Supercapacitors 2013-2023’ to its offering.

The report includes in-depth analysis and forecasts of the market for supercapacitors and supercabatteries, with data pertaining to technology, emerging applications, patents, profit analysis, and key researchers and manufacturers operating in the field.

According to the report, 55% of producers and intending producers of supercapacitors or electrochemical double layer capacitors (EDLCs) and supercabatteries or asymmetric electrochemical double layer capacitors (AEDLCs) are operating in East Asia and 28% of them are in North America.

The market for supercapacitors and supercabatteries has reached a value of more than $11 billion in a decade and has huge market potential. They are increasingly utilized in a broad range of applications, including renewable energy, energy harvesting, mobile phones and electric vehicles.

Supercapacitors or ultracapacitors are used as a replacement for conventional batteries in applications where size and weight are less significant but properties such as reliability, rapid charge-discharge, calendar and cycle life, and superior low temperature performance are more important. For instance, power backup to open bus doors during emergency and hybrid car brakes to operate electronic circuits continuously during power off.

The report covers profiles of 66 key players operating in the market. Some of the manufacturers profiled in the report include Ada Technologies, Advanced Capacitor Technologies, Asahi Kasei-FDK, AVX, Bainacap, Baoding Yepu New Energy, Beijing HCC Energy Tech, Cap-XX, CDE Cornell Dubilier, Cellergy, Chaoyang Liyuan New Energy, Cooper Bussmann, Daying Juneng Technology and Development, Dongguan Amazing Electronic, Dongguan Fuhui Electronics Sales, Dongguan Gonghe Electronics, Dongguan WIN WIN Supercap Electronic, East Penn Manufacturing, Ecoult, Elbit Energy, Nanotecture, Nanotune Technologies, Shandong Heter Lampson Electronic, Tavrima, and WIMA Spezialvertrieb Elektronischer Bauelemente.
