TowerJazz Unveils 180 nm Power Management Analog/Mixed-Signal Reference Design Flow

TowerJazz has introduced a 180 nm power management analog/mixed-signal reference design flow called Reference Flow 2.0 that features Cadence Design Systems’ key technology.

Reference Flow 2.0 is the most comprehensive reference design flow featuring mixed-signal power management technologies that integrate the Cadence Virtuoso technologies and Encounter digital implementation system with a built-in digital and custom/analog flow for TowerJazz' TS035PM 350-nm and TS018PM 180-nm bipolar-CMOS-DMOS power management process techniques. By providing advanced features, these novel process systems enable power management devices to get integrated with control logic.

Through their partnership, TowerJazz and Cadence have ensured silicon realization by delivering end-to-end mixed-signal design, implementation and verification solutions on a state-of-the-art power management platform. The objective of the partnership is to speed up design realization, decrease overall development expenditures, and reduce risks.

Reference Design Flow 2.0 offers superior mixed-signal solution on the basis of SKILL and OpenAccess-based process design kits to realize silicon success and rapid market-reach time for customers.

TowerJazz’ Vice President of Design Center and Design Enablement, Ori Galzur stated that through its partnership with Cadence, the company continually demonstrates its commitment to provide advanced flows from design to volume production.

Cadence Design Systems’ Senior Vice President for Research and Development, Custom IC and Signoff, Silicon Realization Group, Tom Beckley stated that the partnership between TowerJazz and the company aims at meeting the requirements of customers to effectively design even most complicated solutions for consumer, networking and wireless devices, in which the mixed and analog signal elements make up over half of the overall design.
