New Nanotechnology-Based Water-Borne Coating for Revitalizing Aged Vinyl Siding

Industrial Nanotech, Inc., an emerging global leader in nanotechnology based energy saving and sustainable solutions announced today that the Company has launched a new product, Nansulate(R) Vinyl Fresh, a water-borne latex-based clear coat for revitalizing aged vinyl siding and preserving new vinyl siding.

Nansulate Vinyl Fresh

This nanotechnology based coating provides a powerful combination of benefits which include non-yellowing UV resistance, thermal insulation for energy savings, resistance to moisture, breathability, and resistance to mold and algae growth.

Francesca Crolley, V.P. of Business Development for Industrial Nanotech, Inc. stated, “Our team has been traveling throughout the country meeting with major home builders and roofing contractors to educate them about our Nansulate(R) Crystal clear roof coating product that rejuvenates older tile roofs and provides energy savings, UV protection against color fading and degradation, and protection against mold/mildew/bacteria growth on all tile roofs. The overwhelmingly positive response we have received from these builders and contractors, and the consumer, gave us the idea for a product for vinyl siding which would provide the same benefits.”

Ms. Crolley continued, "In extended field trials, our Nansulate(R) clear coat technology performed beautifully to rejuvenate and protect vinyl siding. We looked further into the market demand for vinyl siding and found that, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, 33% of the new single-family homes sold in 2011 had vinyl siding as the principal type of exterior wall material. For attached single-family homes sold, it was 41%, and for detached single-family homes sold, it was 32%. So it was obvious to us that vinyl siding is one of the main building materials used in the U.S. housing market, and after finding little competition in the protective coatings market to address this material, we saw this was an underserved market, and one where our patented technology could provide cost effective solutions. In addition to energy saving benefits that customers will receive from coating their home exterior with Nansulate Vinyl Fresh, they also will need to do much less power washing to keep the exterior clean, and also will find their new siding won’t fade due to UV, and siding that has already faded will look rejuvenated."

Industrial Nanotech's patented line of award winning nanotechnology based insulation and protective coatings have been used successfully in industry and by consumers since 2004.
