Thomas Swan continues to grow and build its graphene materials business and remains committed to providing a reliable supply of high quality graphene materials. One of the key challenges facing the emerging graphene industry is identifying and optimising applications in which graphene technologies add value.
A recent program “realising the graphene revolution” launched by Innovate UK is specifically designed to address this challenge.
Thomas Swan is pleased to announce that, by working closely with an exciting group of collaborative partners, they have successfully secured four projects within the program. The lead participants are Sharp Laboratories of Europe Ltd. (energy storage), Smith & Nephew Extruded Films Ltd. (separations), M-SOLV Ltd. (touch panels) and Nano Products Ltd. (printed electronics). In each case the projects will also engage with leading UK experts at the University of Manchester, the University of Bradford, the University of Surrey and Nottingham Trent University respectively.
“We are very pleased to receive this support from Innovate UK as it enables us to work collaboratively with top class partners in target markets for graphene materials, while also tapping into some of the UK's leading academic expertise" said Andy Goodwin, Commercial Director – Advanced Materials Division. “We continue to be excited by graphene opportunities and will announce improved availability of Thomas Swan graphene products in the coming weeks” added Goodwin.
Further details of Elicarb® Graphene products are available at the Thomas Swan website or from upcoming conference events in the USA.
