Leading semiconductor test equipment supplier Advantest Corporation will demonstrate its latest TAS7500 THz spectroscopy and imaging systems and solutions at the annual PITTCON Conference and Expo, to be held in at the Memorial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA from March 9-12, 2015.
PITTCON is the world’s largest annual conference and exposition for laboratory science, and is a vital resource for keeping scientists informed of, connected to and up-to-date on significant ongoing findings and new instrumentation. At the event, Advantest will demonstrate the capabilities of its rapid, non-destructive spectroscopy/imaging systems for analysis of tablet coatings, hardness and density, as well as ribbon density measurement and materials characterization. Also displayed will be its TAS7500TS platform with in-line, at-line, on-line, and off-line capabilities for R&D, quality, manufacturing and process analytical technology (PAT). See us in PITTCON Booth 1304.
Advantest’s configurable and compact TAS7500 THz Spectroscopy/Imaging Systems use proprietary terahertz wave technology, the region between microwave and infrared in the electromagnetic spectrum, to expand the scope of non-destructive, non-invasive analysis, broadening the materials that can be analyzed as well as accelerating analysis itself. Terahertz 2D and 3D imaging and spectroscopy delivers pinpoint analysis beyond the reach of traditional spectroscopy and imaging tools, such as Raman, FTIR and X-ray.
The TAS7500 systems offer low operating costs and higher efficiency in method development, lab research and product manufacturing.
Also at PITTCON, on March 10, Advantest’s chief scientist, Eiji Kato will deliver an invited paper titled, “Terahertz Spectroscopy and Imaging: Toward Practical Applications,” describing why the THz spectral region has become very attractive for industrial applications as well as fundamental science.
