Nanoco Group plc, a world leader in the development and manufacture of cadmium-free quantum dots and other nanomaterials, today announced that Keith Wiggins, the Company’s Chief Operating Officer, and Dr. Nigel Pickett, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, will present as speakers at the Society for Information Display’s (SID) Display Week Conference in San Jose, May 31 – June 5, 2015. Display Week is an annual worldwide event showcasing advancements in electronic display technology.
Nanoco’s Wiggins and Pickett will both discuss the advancements and advantages offered by innovative, heavy metal-free and cadmium-free quantum dot technology.
- Dr. Pickett will discuss the growing demand for “Heavy Metal-Free Quantum Dots for Display Applications” on June 2 at 2:00 - 2:20 pm. Session 14.1 will note that the superior color quality of quantum dot displays have made them a highly attractive technology to manufacturers but concerns around quantum dots containing cadmium have limited the market. Heavy-metal-free quantum dots provide a consumer-friendly alternative to cadmium-based quantum dot displays and a sounder option.
- Keith Wiggins will speak at the Investor’s Conference which takes place in conjunction with Display Week 2015. Wiggins will discuss the consumer availability and manufacture of heavy-metal-free quantum dots, in a session entitled “Quantum Dots: From the Lab to Commercial Success” on Tuesday, June 2 at 10:30 – 11:30 am. Participants will hear from Wiggins about the many market advancements and advantages in non-toxic, cadmium- free quantum dot technology products.
