COMS2007 Kicks Off With The Cream of The Nanotechnology World Converging on Melbourne, Australia

COMS is the leading international conference on the commercialisation of micro and nano technologies. For the first time this premier international event is being held in the Asia-Pacific region. In the case of COMS2007 it is being held in Melbourne, Australia.

The opening Plenary Session was chaired by Clive Davenport from the Small Technologies Cluster and included some thought provoking ideas on promoting nanotechnology as viable commercial options for industry and the need for Governments to support the nanotechnology industry.

Late in the day the trade floor was livened by the Mexican hosts of COMS2008 breaking out the tequila.

COMS2007 continues until Wednesday.
