The CEO of Unidym, an Arrowhead Research Corporation subsidiary working in carbon nanotubes, will share the story of his career path from technical contributor to marketer to CEO. The free, online interview will begin at 10 a.m. PDT on October 30. Anyone with a computer and Internet connection can attend and submit questions.
Chris Halliwell, director and cofounder of the California Institute of Technology Industrial Relations Center's new online community, the Technology Marketing Center (TMC), will interview Art Swift, Unidym president and CEO. Swift will discuss the transitions and the learning process during his years of preparation for the top job in an emerging technology venture. He will share insights into the special perspective that a marketing professional brings to this role.
"TMC's mission is to support continuous improvement in the product and market-strategy development process, and to advance the professionalism of technology marketing leaders who drive these processes in their organizations," says Halliwell. "Art Swift represents this ideal of professionalism, bringing over 20 years of senior management team leadership, and his orientation to market-driven organizations, to his job as CEO."
The discussion with Swift is one in a series of Executive Interviews conducted on the last Tuesday of each month by TMC. The Technology Marketing Center is a rich content destination on the Web, providing audio files, discussion forums, and case studies to high-tech marketing professionals and their colleagues in sales, engineering, and management.
