The Fab Owners Association (FOA), the association of semiconductor / MEMS manufacturing executives and suppliers, has announced the addition of it newest device-maker members:
- Infineon Technologies ( www.infineon.com), which offers semiconductors and system solutions for automotive, industrial electronics, chip card and security, as well as applications in communications
- Maxim Integrated Products (www.maxim-ic.com), whose mission is to deliver innovative analog and mixed-signal engineering solutions that add value to their customers' products
- SVTC Technologies (www.svtc.com), which provides access to a full-scale, 8-inch process development foundry and commercialization services
- ANADIGICS, Inc. (www.anadigics.com), providing high-volume manufacturing of advanced GaAs RFICs.
In addition to these companies, the FOA also welcomed associate memberships from Capovani Brothers (www.capovani.com), Highvac Corporation (www.highvacpumps.com), Novellus Systems, Inc. (www.novellus.com) and Prudential Overall Supply (www.pos-clean.com).
"We continue to build membership value and efficiencies through manufacturing benchmark programs and by adding member-driven study groups. Our collaborative facilities, maintenance and ESH study groups exchanging best practices, saving time, money and effort across the FOA membership, and these gains will be maximized as we add new study groups this year," stated L.T. Guttadauro, FOA executive director. "Our Group Purchasing Organization is taking off and our associate membership continues to grow, seeing increasing value in affiliating with our device maker members."
The FOA's device maker members are the following companies: Anadigics, Inc., Austriamicrosystems AG, Avago Technologies, Cypress Semiconductor, Delphi Microelectronics Center, Diodes Inc., Fairchild Semiconductor, Freescale Semiconductor, Infineon Technologies, International Rectifier, Intersil, Jazz Semiconductor, Maxim Integrated Products, Micrel Semiconductor, Microchip Technology, ON Semiconductor, SVTC Technologies, Skyworks Solutions, and X-FAB.
FOA device maker member companies represent the production of over 1.2 million eight-inch- equivalent monthly wafer starts and US$32.0 Billion in annual revenues.
