Evident Technologies, Inc., today announced that CEO Clinton Ballinger was presented with the prestigious "Small Business Person of the Year" award by The Business Review at an awards dinner held last night.
Dr. Ballinger was honored for his leadership of Evident Technologies, a nanotechnology company specializing in the commercialization of quantum dot nanocrystals for applications in LEDs, life sciences, alternative energy and security/defense.
The Business Review’s 26th annual Achievement awards program recognizes outstanding companies and individuals conducting business in the Albany, NY region, offering an impressive look at the strengths of its local economy. Winners are determined by soliciting nominations from the publication’s readers, representing business leaders of the Capital Region. Finalists are then chosen and research is conducted to determine their qualification based on specific criteria – sales growth, innovation, quality, and commitment to the region. The final winners are then selected by editors of The Business Review along with an advisory board of local business executives.
“The winners of this year’s Business Review’s Achievement Awards are a real reflection of the quality and economic power of our region,” observed Carolyn Jones, Publisher, The Business Review. “They represent core products and family businesses to entrepreneurs who started with an idea and made it grow, to business executives whose years of experience have had an huge impact on our local business landscape. We look forward to all of these great companies and individuals being a part of the region’s success for years to come.”
“As Evident Technologies has been based in the Capital Region since our inception, it’s gratifying to have been recognized by The Business Review and our local business leaders,” said Dr. Ballinger. “I’m honored to accept this award on behalf of all of us at Evident.”
