Ciranova, a company that provides design automation solutions of analog IC, declared that its Ciranova Helix, automation software for custom IC layout, has been chosen for use in TSMC Analog Mixed-Signal Reference Flow 2.0, which forms an integral part of the 28nm design infrastructure from TSMC.

Minute gold nanoparticles with 40 millionth of a mm diameter, when focused by a short laser pulse, gets heated up and begins to vibrate. It is challenging to study these minute nanoparticles because even highly efficient microscopes do not have the resolution to study them.

Imec Develops GaN Devices on 200mm Wafers

Imec along with its collaborators in the GaN industrial affiliation program (IIAP) has processed some power devices on 200mm GaN-on-Si wafers. Using these wafers, standard CMOS tools were used to process operational GaN MISHEMTs (metal-insulator-semiconductor HEMT).
