NanoHorizons Inc., a leader in the creation of nanoscale performance additives for textile, health care, and industrial applications, has announced a new partnership with J2LFA Co. Ltd. of Seoul, Korea, under which J2LFA will be the sole distributor of the SmartSilver™ antimicrobial performance brand to the Korean textile and industrial markets. J2LFA is a highly respected manufacturer of a broad assortment of natural and synthetic performance yarns including organic cottons and other eco-friendly products.

SmartSilver™ antimicrobial additives are available in a range of integration-ready formulations that provide highly durable, effective protection against bacteria and the odors and material degradation these microbes can cause. SmartSilver™ antimicrobial additives are approved by Oeko-Tex® as free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances believed to be hazardous to human health. The additives are also US EPA registered.
In addition to targeting the athletic performance apparel sector, J2LFA will market its SmartSilver™ enhanced yarns to the workwear, safety apparel, and hosiery markets. The company will also be developing SmartSilver™ textile applications for medical wet wipes, feminine hygiene products, and home furnishings.
