A manufacturer of ultracapacitor products, Nesscap Energy has received approval from China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) to apply its ultracapacitor module for automotive applications across China.
The company’s 48V166F module is aluminum shielded, compact, and fully integrated and supports a capacitance from 36 to 166 F. This ultracapacitor module ensures convenient integration in telecom, industrial, and automotive applications and offer flexible building blocks for systems that require high voltage needs. The 48 V series ultracapacitor modules were developed by Nesscap with integrated monitoring, and cell balancing abilities. These features will allow the module to withstand constant high currents with negligible increase in temperature when used in heavy-duty operating conditions.
The CQC approval guarantees that the 48V166F ultracapacitor module meets the requirements of the QC/T 741 standard to ensure quality in mechanical durability and electrical performance for automotive applications. The QC/T 741 standard addresses traction-boost and engine operation features in ultracapacitors that are used in automotive, particularly in HEV or EV applications. This standard focuses on normal performance requirements of the ultracapacitor. It also suggests measurement techniques to test the electrical properties of the ultracapacitor. Requirements concerning storage of ultracapacitor packs, transportation, packaging, methods of product marking, quality of developed products, and mechanical durability to shock and vibration are also a part of the standard.
