A research book titled, ‘Nanotechnology in Australia: Showcase of Early Career Research,’ has been included by Research and Markets to its offering.
This research book discusses the ongoing nanotechnology research activities being conducted in Australia. Moreover, it is the first assessment of a new workshop program designed for the professional growth of early career researchers, including research students. It displays superior quality writing and professional skills of the early career researchers and also discusses in detail about the workshop program.
The Australian Research Council Nanotechnology Network (ANN) is the sponsor for the organization of this workshop program. ANN is designed to considerably improve the research activities in the nanotechnology field in Australia by encouraging effective partnerships, promoting forums for early career researchers and post graduate students and expanding the nanotechnology infrastructure.
The research topics covered in the book include superparamagnetic nanoparticles utilization as MRI contrast agents; luminescent nano-bioprobes for bioimaging and bioassays; biomimicry leading to olfactory nano-biosensors; metal nanostructure-enhanced fluorescence and its applications in the biological field; self-cleaning coatings’ molecular dynamics modeling; superparamagnetic nanoparticles, nanodiamonds and hollow nanostructured silica fabrication, as well as an analysis of their applications; fabrication of vanadium compound-based nanorods for energy storage; processing techniques for the bulk production of graphene; the utilization of metal nanoparticles to enhance infrared light capturing in solar cell applications; and plasmonics as the building blocks of plasmonic circuits.
