CPhI, a part of the pharmaceutical based global level events held by UBM, will be hosting the Nano Suspensions India 2012 conference from August 21 to 22, 2012. Scheduled to take place at the Hotel Fortune Select Manohar, Hyderabad, India, the chief focus of the conference will be on the challenges confronting Quality by Design (QbD), regulatory aspects, stability, efficient scale-up and solubility of nano medicines.
The conference will serve as a platform for many international and domestic speakers to share their knowledge and experience on various related areas such as dissolution studies, homogenization techniques, stabilizers, terminal/non-terminal sterilization and surface characterization techniques like LD, PCS, X-ray and FEM.
The first day of the conference will be utilized to identify methods that would aid in selecting required particle size, effective characterization methods, QbD tools and techniques to preserve chemical properties of nano particles. A workshop will be held on the second day of the conference that will provide detailed information and present case studies on formulation techniques, differences in high-pressure and spray drying homogenization, commercialization strategies and non-terminal and terminal sterilization techniques.
Some of the International and Indian industry professionals who will be presiding over the conference are David Lin, Senior Consultant, BCG, USA; Ashish Kohli, Pharmaceutical Assessor of the Licensing Division at the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency; Vandana Patravale, Professor of Pharmaceutics at Institute of Chemical Technology, and Mustafa Nakach, Head of Engineering at Sanofi Aventis in France.
