Seashell Technology Expands Range of Silver Nanowire Products

Seashell Technology, a leading supplier of silver nanowires (AgNWs), now offers two additional silver nanowire products to its existing silver nanowire product line: AgNW-25 and AgNW-130. AgNW-25 has an average size distribution of 25 nm in diameter and 20 micron in length and AgNW-130 has an average size distribution of 130 nm in diameter and 30 micron in length.

The high aspect ratio of the thin, long AgNW-25 silver nanowire population offers enhanced electrical and thermal properties for many applications (e.g. transparent conductive films). More efficient conductive networks are achieved using this geometry. AgNW-25 is available as a uniform dispersion in either aqueous or solvent solutions. The AgNW-130 material is well suited for applications where highly conductive materials are required, for example, conductive pastes, EMI shielding or photovoltaic applications.

These new silver nanowire products, branded as HiFlex eFilm™ materials, are commercially available both at research and industrial scale. Seashell will be exhibiting these new silver nanowire materials at the IDTechEx Printed Electronics USA 2012 conference to be held on December 5th and 6th in Santa Clara, California.

About Seashell Technology

Seashell Technology is the industry leader in providing high quality silver nanowires. The company's HiFlex eFilmTM silver nanowires have been used worldwide to produce high performing electrically and thermally conductive materials.

As one of the first companies to commercially provide silver nanowires, Seashell Technology enabled application breakthroughs in multiple fields. These included the development of novel materials such as transparent conductors, flexible and stretchable conductors, electro-thermal heating elements, optical sensors, anti-microbial films, high performance electrodes and conductive fillers.

Seashell Technology continues to facilitate the development of commercial electronic products such as transparent conductive films (TCFs), OLED lighting and displays, solar panels, EMI shields, anti-static and anti-microbial materials, and high performance conductive inks, pastes, adhesives, and paints.
