DMQ, a MEMS technology company dedicated to advancing flow control solutions primarily for the HVAC, refrigeration and automotive industries, today announced the release of its next generation flagship silQflo™ Silicon Servo Valve (SSV), achieving 36 percent size reduction from its predecessor,PDA-3.10, released in August 2013.
The decrease in size opens more avenues in overall weight reduction for compact designs and cost benefits from less material usage. The new chip family is immediately available for customer evaluation. The first generation silQflo™ chip family will stop being produced at the end of 2015.
DMQ'S silQflo™ SSV is a MEMS-based microvalve designed to control fluid flow or pressure with high precision and fast response time. DMQ's patented silQflo™ microvalve technology is an innovative solution to any flow control system that can be used as an individual unit or as an integrated component of a more complex device. In addition, the inherent proportionality of the actuator makes it ideal for proportional control or coupling with the Universal SuperHeat Controller/Sensor (USHX) or a similar feedback system, such as a servo control valve.
"We are excited to introduce the latest generation of the silQflo™ microvalve," said Parthiban Arunasalam, DMQ CEO. "DMQ continues to push the envelope in size reduction of the overall footprint of the microvalve, while maintaining the required characteristics of a valve for macro flow applications."
