Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology Applied to Bicycles

The AZo team members like our bikes, we like technology and the innovative use of materials. But we're not sure about two new bicycles we've recently seen on Gizmodo.

The first has supplimentary propulsion supplied by a Hydrogen Fuel Cell. The bike from Shanghai Pearl Hydrogen Power Source Technology Co uses a hydrogen fuel cell mounted behind the seat to power the bike to 24 kph for more than 90 kms. A full recharge takes about a half hour.

The second has nothing whatsoever to do with nanotechnology but it is a hybrid shopping cart and bicycle solving the age old lack of payload capacity problem that plagues bike riders. Make your own with directions from Instructibles.
