Nanotechnology Must Have Wish List of Products Features Cookware, Fishing Poles, Hockey Skates and Underwear

Bourne Research LLC, a market research firm which tracks emerging technologies, revealed its second annual list of the ten coolest consumer products of 2007, featuring just a few of the items which utilize the latest in MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical systems) and nanotechnology. All of these products are available to consumers today and range in price from less than $15 to more than $100,000.

"What makes these ten products so cool is their innovative use of emerging technologies," said Marlene Bourne, President & Principal Analyst of Bourne Research.  "From nanomaterials and MEMS sensors, to completely novel technological approaches, they offer an intriguing glimpse at what the future holds for the consumer."

The Bourne Report's Ten Coolest Consumer Products of 2007 includes "must-have" items such as next-generation cookware, fishing poles, hockey skates and even underwear. A few of the products include Guitar Hero III from Red Octane, iSOBOT from TOMY, and the Tesla Roaster from Tesla Motors.

The entire list was revealed December 2nd during The Bourne Report, a weekly radio show which discusses next-generation science and technology. Hosted by Marlene Bourne, the show airs on the Independent 1310 KXAM in Phoenix, and streams live via the Internet to listeners worldwide. Each weekly show is also archived for on-demand listening.
