Mobile Telephone Set to Hit the Market Complete With Electronic Ink Screen

Hitachi is expecting to have available in March a new mobile phone for the Japanese market that comes complete with a 2.7 inch e-ink display. The 'W61H' handset display is to be on the back of the phone and will be known as a 'Silhouette screen'. To be used for decorative purposes the screen can be decorated with one of 95 graphic patterns.

Other specifications for the phone include a 2.8-inch display with 240 x 400(WQVGA) resolution, 1.97 megapixel camera, built-in 2GB micro SD card and 250 minutes of continuous talk time.
