New General Manager for Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology

Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology (OIPT), part of Oxford Instruments plc, a leading provider of high technology tools and systems has appointed Bernard Scanlan to the role of General Manager of the newly acquired Technologies and Devices International, Inc. (TDI) business in Maryland, USA.

Bernard brings significant experience with him from his previous role as Operations Director at Oxford Instruments Nanoscience. He has successfully led, and implemented a number of key business improvement activities that have consequently enabled the business to retain its premier market leading position.

TDI develop and manufacture Nitride materials using their Hydride Vapour Phase Epitaxy (HVPE) technology and processes. With Oxford Instruments acquisition of the company, additional R&D resources will allow TDI to continue the development of their HVPE technology further into commercially available tools, which can be used by HBLED and RF power electronic manufacturers.
