Tuberculosis Diagnosis Kit Based On Nanotechnology - New Product

The Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) of India has completed simulation and design parameters for a micro-diagnostic kit for tuberculosis using nanotechnology. The kit will use nanosized biosensors.

A fully function version of the kit is expected before the end of the year. It will be around the size of a 1 cm by 1 cm cube and cost is expected to be around Rs 30 per piece. Testing time will be very rapid and only requires a tiny amount of blood.
