Nanotechnology Network, Getting Nanotechnology to Markets - News Item

The Nanotechnology Network explores Getting Nanotechnology to Markets with executives from Albany Nanotech, Intel, Engelhard, Draper Atlantic, Lockheed Martin, Nanotechnology Institute, NIST/Advanced Technology Program, PPG, SAIC and Zyvex.

The executives will address strategies and their experience in nanotechnology development and commercialization.  Nanotechnology Network president, Richard Smith says it is an open question as to whether nanotech investment and commercialisation strategies, both private and public, will keep the United States at the forefront of what appears to be a critical technology development and commercialization path.

"It is important," Smith said, "to understand the risk/reward profile of this relatively new set of capabilities that applies across a diverse range of potential uses and markets."  The evening's discussion linking this promising technology to tangible market benefits takes place in conjunction with this year's National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) Conference, From Vision to Commercialization, and takes place at the newWashington DC convention center, March 31.
