Background
Professor Castaño’s list of career achievements is long and distinguished. He has published over 400 peer reviewed international papers. He has also been recognized by numerous national and international awards. In addition to this, he has attracted more media attention in Mexico than any other scientist through his discoveries and inventions which cover many different application areas.
Of particular note is his development of anti graffiti paint, which is an original nanotechnology and is currently being produced commercially.
