Background
Paolo Facci is a Senior Scientist of the Italian National Research Council
at the Dept. of Physics of the University of Modena,, Italy. Paolo graduated
in Physics and got his PhD in Biophysics from the University of Genoa. He was
post-doc at the Dept. of Physics, University of Parma and spent 3 years at the
University of Viterbo before moving to Modena. There, he founded the nanobiolab,
an interdisciplinary group active in the field of nanobiophysics.
His current research focus is on biomolecular electronics, membrane biophysics,
and biosensors. In 2002 he was awarded “Premio Ugo Campisano” for
the Physics of Matter for his achievements in the growth and experimental characterization
of organic and biological materials.
