The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee will publish its report on Nanotechnologies and Food on Friday 8 January 2010.
The Committee has been looking in detail at the use of nanotechnologies in the food industry and has explored how these technologies are likely to develop. It has considered where government might need to develop regulations and effective communications to ensure public confidence is maintained.
The report will be strictly embargoed until 00:01 on Friday 8 January 2010.
The Committee will hold an embargoed press conference for journalists at 10:30am on Thursday 7 January at the Science Media Centre at The Royal Institution of Great Britain, 21 Albemarle Street, London, W1S 4BS.
