PragmatIC Printing, a manufacturer of imprinted logic circuits, and Holst Centre, an open-innovation starter by imec, Belgium and TNO, Netherlands, have declared their partnership for the utilization, research, and development of flexible electronics.
PragmatIC's unique knowledge in techniques and design of semiconductor device renders a new platform for research programs carried by Holst Centre on transistors, circuits, and oxide semiconductors.
This legal collaboration involves thorough examination of amorphous oxide semiconductor and associated material goods produced by Holst Centre, to get approval for printed logic application with respect to PragmatIC's novel methods.
Besides helping in basic R&D, this partnership has favored realistic usages in flexible electronics. The prototype of integrated printed electronics concepts for customers developed by PragmatIC has been enhanced by Holst Centre's innovative skills in related technologies, for example OLEDs-on-flex.
Gerwin Gelinck, program manager at Holst Centre hopes that the collaboration of PragmatIC and Holst Centre will considerably improve practical applications of printed electronics technology.
According to Scott White, CEO of PragmatIC Printing, this collaboration offers PragmatIC to utilize Holst Centre's innovative skills and R&D works under an open-innovation technique. PragmatIC is pleased to collaborate with other partners of Holst Centre to serve the customers with several improved concepts of an integrated product.
