AB SCIEX has introduced five new column chips under its Eksigent line for the cHiPLC-nanoflex system at the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) conference.
The newly introduced chips ensure that the cHiPLC-nanoflex system is more versatile and can be used for a wider range of applications. The enhanced system is suitable for superior performance proteomics analysis that includes discovery, evaluation and verification of biomarkers.
All cHiPLC-nanoflex columns are engineered and microfabricated to display high-strength and high-repeatability. The columns offer high-quality separations that can be performed by operators at all skill levels. The first two of the five chips are nano LC columns C4 for the study of graphitized carbon for glycans and phosphopeptides and intact proteins. They are available for immediate shipment.
AB SCIEX’s other three new chips include C18-CL micro cHiPLC columns with internal diameter of 200 µm and length of 15 cm as well as in 5 cm. Their flow rate ranges between 1.0 and 3.5 µL per minute, which decreases gradient delay times when compared with nano flow HPLC and results in enhanced chromatography and higher sample output.
The latest micro cHiPLC columns offer superior performance, improved speed and output for applications, including quantitative biomarker validation. AB SCIEX will supply these novel micro cHiPLC columns and a new nanoLC HALO HILIC phase from October 2011. The company offers trap columns for all phases such as the C8 and C18 columns for peptide analysis.
The combination of nanoelectrospray MS and nanoflow liquid chromatography is the ideal option for peptide and protein analysis. The user-friendly Eksigent cHiPLC-nanoflex System offers superior reproducibility micro- and nano-flow rates. It is a docking station for a maximum of three column chips. It can be integrated to all Eksigent’s nanoLC systems and interfaced to AB SCIEX TripleTOF 5600 for performing biomarker discovery and to the AB SCIEX QTRAP 5500 for biomarker evaluation and verification.
