ICT-FET integrated European project, AtMol has announced the launching of the International Workshop on Architecture & Design of Molecule Logic Gates and Atom Circuits to be conducted at the Hotel Campus UAB located in Barcelona on 12 to 13 January 2012.
AtMol focuses on molecular computing at the atomic scale through the integration of novel quantum designs and advanced atomic scale technologies with multi-scale packaging and interconnection methods for an individual molecule to calculate and be housed into a molecular chip. The project and its associated ‘dissemination & training’ activities will allow industry engineers and academic researchers to get access to the instruments that play a crucial role in the advancement of atomic scale technologies, a breakthrough beyond nanotechnology.
This international workshop is the second event of the AtMol Conference series. The workshop is useful for experts working in the field of surface atomic scale circuits theory and single molecule logic gates and design based on semi-classical, classical or quantum principles wherein one molecule is delivering the measuring power.
The two-day workshop will assist in gathering a group of researcher and development experts at an international level and to encourage the expansion of an interdisciplinary community of scientists. During the workshop, 15 eminent speakers will deliver presentations on the field. The last date of registration is 9 December 2011. Registration fee ranges between €230 and €285, which includes accommodation.
