NANO KOREA 2015 to be Held July 1-3 in Seoul

NANO KOREA 2015, the 13th International Nanotech Symposium & Nano-Convergence Expo in Korea, will be held from Wednesday July 1 to Friday July 3 at COEX in Seoul, with around 350 companies from 18 countries and regions and government organizations attending.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, and managed by the NANO KOREA Organization Committee, 'NANO KOREA' is Korea's leading nano technology event that has been held annually since 2003.

NANO KOREA offers a perfect venue for business opportunities, where participants can exchange and cooperate to upgrade products and processes and develop new markets through convergence between nano and other advanced technologies.

At the exhibition, nano materials, elements and systems developed with CNT and graphene will be on full display. Nano analysis techniques, processing and manufacturing equipment as well as semiconductor process equipment will also be exhibited.

Exhibitions for five of the latest technologies will also be concurrently held. The technologies are micro/MEMS for compact and intelligent systems, laser technologies for value-added product development, advanced ceramics, advanced 3D printing and medical engineering.

This year, participants from 18 countries and regions including Japan, mainland China, Germany, Taiwan and the U.K. will attend. From Korea, large enterprises like Samsung and LG and research labs including KIST and KIMM will exhibit their latest research outcomes together with technologies and applied products.

A symposium will be held to discuss the latest technological trends and research outcomes. President Moon-sik Kwon of Hyundai Motor Company and President Chunli Bai of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will give keynote speeches and around 1,000 research outcomes will be introduced.

"NANO KOREA offers business opportunities by spreading nano technology research outcomes and promoting information exchange," said a member of the NANO KOREA Organization Committee. "Institutes and companies from leading countries, such as Japan, China and the U.K., will attend this event. We will work our hardest to organize this event as a global-standard exhibition so as to activate technological and product exchange in Korea and across the world."
