World's Largest Nanotechnology Event to Showcase Materials, IT & Electronics, Biotechnology, MEMS, Environment & Energy, Evaluation & Measurement and Nano Fabrication Technology in Japan

Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) announces – BIZMATCH@nanotech 2008 program. The exhibition and conference will be held in Tokyo, Japan, 13-15 February 2008, targeting nanotechnology companies.

“Administered alongside “nano tech 2008” – the World’s largest nano technology exhibition, this program is an excellent opportunity to participate and network with some of the biggest names in Japan’s nano technology industry” according to Fred Taylor, Trade and Investment Development Officer, JETRO.

“Participation is free, and the program offers one-on-one business meetings with potential Japanese business partners, an introductory seminar, and a 15 minute presentation spot for your company at nano tech 2008 itself - all with the assistance of a Japanese interpreter”.

“To apply, all you need to do is complete and lodge the application form located on our website by Wednesday 21 November” said Fred Taylor.

Last year’s nano tech 2007 event attracted over 48,500 visitors and 484 exhibitors, and provided an effective platform for companies from all over the world to showcase their cutting-edge products, services and technologies.

Japanese companies are particularly interested in nanotechnology areas such as Materials, IT & Electronics, Biotechnology, MEMS, Environment & Energy, Evaluation & Measurement and Nano Fabrication Technology.

Japan's growing interest in furthering nanotechnology comes as no surprise. The potential impact of nanotechnology and resulting revenues are enormous. Japan stands to gain a lot by nurturing its nanotechnology industry. On the other hand, Japan's continued efforts at mass-producing nano materials will benefit the nanotechnology industry as a whole.

“Mass-producing and commercialising nano products and applications have long been considered the biggest challenges facing the nanotechnology industry. However, Japan has shown relative success in this area, with Japan one of the world’s leading research areas for nanotechnology,” said Fred.

To participate in BIZMATCH@nanotech 2008 program, please complete the application form located on the JETRO Australia website by Wednesday 21st November 2007.
