The Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI) today announced the scientific final program and schedule for its Nanotech 2008 Conference and Trade Show has been finalized and posted at http://www.nsti.org/Nanotech2008. The program includes over 1,000 technology and business presentations. Additional sessions include government program reviews, an early stage company showcase and expanded vertical industry coverage.
Nanotech 2008, taking place in Boston, Massachusetts' Hynes Convention Center on June 1 – 5, 2008, is the premier industry event on nanotechnology in the world. In additional to the vast conference program, the event showcases over 300 companies and organizations exhibiting at the event.
“This is our eleventh year hosting the Nanotech conference and we have experienced growth every year, but this year, things really exploded,” said Dr. Bart Romanowicz, Director of the Nano Science and Technology Institute. “Our job is to bring together leading industry experts to share the current state-of-the-art in nanotech. This includes updates as well as breakthroughs on nanotechnology in a forum aimed at ultimately advancing industry and facilitating the benefits of this technology.
“We saw aggressive expansion of the scope of the conference with many targeted vertical industry sessions that focus on specific markets, such as nanotechnology in cancer, particles, carbon nano structures, energy, electronics, personal care, food, environmental, clean technologies and all aspects of the materials industry. As a result, we are expecting record attendance for 2008.”
“This year, we are once again collocated with the Clean Technology conference. The amount of synergy is fantastic – attendees will discover how these technologies can address energy security concerns, escalating energy demand, and increasing environmental footprints. Join the technologists, investors, entrepreneurs, policy makers, and professionals who are working to improve our world.”
The conference provides a multi-industry perspective on corporate R&D as well as the commercialization and product development of micro and nanotechnologies. Also to be showcased are investment strategies by large institutional investors, private equity opportunities, venture capital and angel investor meetings, and the largest early stage venture forum.
The conference will be held June 1 – 5 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. Attendees and exhibitors can obtain more information at http://www.nsti.org/Nanotech2008.
