Time-Lapse AFM Images of DPPC/DOPC Lipid Bilayers

This video shows the time-lapse AFM (atomic force microscopy) images of DOPC/DPPC (dioleoylphosphatidylcholine/dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine) supported planar lipid bilayers.

The AFM height images (image size = 3µm; z-scale = 3.2nm) reveal the stability of DPPC/DOPC bilayers during consecutive scanning in aqueous solution. Supported bilayers were imaged at 0.16 f/s using Dimension FastScan Bio AFM from Bruker Nano Surfaces in TappingMode.
